Dr. Vani Raj

Dr. Vani Nair was born in Kottayam, Kerala into the Puthenpurackal Tharavadu, in which the traditional practice of Ayurveda can be traced as far back as 110 years. Her father is  Dr. Rajagopalan Nair, a renowned physician, who still maintains the conventional practices, the teachings of which were passed down to him by his father, well-known Vishavaidyan Madhavan Nair and his grandfather, Vaidyakalanidhi Krishnan Nair.

With this background and a childhood spent in the midst of herbal plants and Ayurveda manuscripts, Dr. Vani’s fascination towards this natural system of medicine developed at an early age. She obtained her BAMS degree from Sri Sri College of Ayurvedic Science and Research in 2009. Her knowledge about traditional Ayurvedic combinations was further enriched during the time she spent practicing with her father for approximately 3 years.
